.ON JULY 31ST pictures of a Russian Mi-8 transport helicopter, crashed and burning, began distributing on social networks. That in itself was certainly not uncommon: Ukrainian pressures have shot down ratings of choppers since the Russian attack started. Much more surprising was actually the claim in the Ukrainian press that this helicopter had been actually downed by a tiny drone. A video recording released due to the nation's militaries a handful of days eventually seemed to provide support to that insurance claim: the footage (view below) reveals a drone hitting another Russian aircraft, this moment an Mi-28 attack helicopter, supposedly forcing it to make an urgent landing. Was actually these privileged smash hits-- or even signs of an advance in aerial warfare?
